I major in animation but I (like many of my peers) have come from a background of printmaking and illustration from previous teachers. I would say that my work has been the culmination of years of traditional art making and translating it digitally. I find my interests in history and making stories of characters existing in a morally ambiguous world, my favorite pieces to reference are social realism and works by Cormac McCarthy. I interpret my work digitally and traditionally, but I find that there is nothing taken from work created digitally, and that the work I create is reinterpretation of the old in a new format.
